My Afterpay Day Sale Picks - Things I Already Own
It's that exciting time of the year again – Afterpay Day Sales are in full swing, offering us all different types of sales on every online store you can think of. I'm here to guide you through this shopping mayhem, but let's make it even better: I'm recommending pieces that have already found their place in my own wardrobe.
It can be hard to keep up with the fast fashion trends at the moment and I have found so much comfort in trying to ignore them as much as possible and focus on building my capsule wardrobe. It’s a curated collection of versatile, high-quality pieces that effortlessly mix and match. The concept helps us to avoid the clutter of impulse buys so we can invest in key items that stand the test of time.
I recently published a piece on the UpTime app here about how to get started building yours!
I use sales like this as efficiently as possible! I always have a running wish list and I only buy from the wish list. I only add to the list when I have noticed that something is missing in my wardrobe and would be a great addition. Recently I realised I didn’t have a casual leather jacket, only a very structured blazer and I wasn’t able to wear it as often as I wanted because it was a different style to what the casual outfits suited.
Sometimes I do also see a trend that I like (hello 90’s baggy jeans comeback) and I will add that to the wardrobe if I feel like it’s worthwhile investing in. I’m always trying to strategically add to my wardrobe foundations and sales aren’t an exception to this. I used to be a massive impulse spender and I refuse to let myself become that again!
I also don’t recommend using afterpay if you can avoid it. I found I used to have multiple afterpay payments a week, sometimes $500 in total (yikes!) and if I wasn’t using afterpay, I could just buy the things I wanted outright instead of always playing catch up. You can still shop the sales without checking out using afterpay.
Linked below are some of my personal favourites that have become essentials in my capsule wardrobe. From classic blazers to easy midi skirts, these are the everyday pieces I rely on.
If you can ‘t see the links below, head over to my LTK page @isabellawears and everything is tagged there under the photo of me with my clothes rack!
Last but not least, here’s the green check coat I am obsessed with. It’s the Steele Vera Coat in Foliage.
