How to Wear Brown - Leather Jacket and Styling Brown Pieces
More than half of my feed is brown outfit posts lately and I’ve been wondering why this colour has made such a huge comeback over colours that I would put into the same category; navy, grey, black etc.
I don’t want to attribute the trend to one person or brand but I do think that it has come to light in the recent interest in minimalism and monochrome outfits alongside the natural beauty trends in both makeup looks and the type of products we’re purchasing.
Warm and tan looks are wearable all year round, you absolutely can’t fault the neutral colour palette. Here are a few pieces I’ve been wearing recently that I am super excited to outfit repeat over and over as winter creeps upon us.
Bottega Veneta, Jacquemus SS21 and Australian brands like Age, Seed and Country Road come to mind.
Backless and Textured
A sleek backless top is one of my favourite things to wear at the moment! This one is from Motel Rocks and I’ve paired it with a favourite bag of mine by Brie Leon.
Brown Faux Leather Blazer
A terracotta leather jacket will change your life. The black and brown pairing has become one of my favourites. This one is from Glassons and I can’t stop wearing it!
Mesh and Layering
Another goodie from Motel Rocks, this top has been really fun to layer with cute bralettes and make a simple outfit a little more interesting. Also a great piece to wear when it’s warm weather too.
Brown Denim
I don’t think I need to convince anyone too hard, brown denim are a favourite of mine! I love my black jeans but it’s nice to mix it up and wear something different. These are also from Motel Rocks.
With Jean Andy Dress Latte
A must have! I hired this from @dressedby_jess but recently bought my own because I had to have it. You cannot fault this dress. Wear it with boots and a black leather jacket, or go for strappy heels and a cute handbag. I am obsessed. This dress is from With Jean.
Brown Trousers
Similarly with the brown jeans, these are really comfortable and a versatile wardrobe building piece. I love them for office outfits and comfortable day to day looks too. These are from Cotton On.
Linen Dress
Another favourite of mine from Dissh. This dreamy dress is such a nice fit and so perfect for so many occasions. I’ve worn this to a baby shower, brunches, a couple of dinners… it’s an outfit repeater and I love it for that.
